Beste bundanooner/Dear bundanooner (english text at the bottom)

Binnen 10 dagen is het 26 september… D-day voor Bundanoon, Australië. Dan gaat de kleine gemeenschap officieel “on tap” en wordt het verbod op de verkoop van drinkwater in flessen op hun grondgebied effectief. Dat gaat gepaard met een heuse ceremonie en een volksfeest in de straten van Bundanoon. Benieuwd hoe pers en media met dat evenement zullen omspringen.

De commercialisering van drinkwater, het recht op betaalbaar drinkwater voor iedereen, de immense hoeveelheden plastic, de overbodige transporten,… Bundanoon zette alles op een concrete, begrijpbare manier op een rijtje en koos consequent voor het alternatief.

Deze facebookgroep werd opgericht om de Bundanooners, down under, een hart onder de riem te steken, Bundanoon meer bekendheid te geven, onderling informatie uit te wisselen en op zoek te gaan naar manieren om hun voorbeeld te volgen.

Uit het prikbord van de groep en de mails, die ons bereiken blijkt een grote actiebereidheid. Veel mensen geven aan dat ze thuis ook “on tap” zijn gegaan. Anderen proberen op school- of op bedrijfsniveau één en ander in vraag te stellen,… De groep is duidelijk geen vrijblijvend fenomeen. Vandaag telt “Ik bundanoon… (I bundanoon…)” net iets meer dan 1.750 leden. Ons gezelschap is bijzonder divers en zelfs internationaal gekleurd.

Bundanoon, Australia, telt 2.500 inwoners. Wat hen kenmerkt is een bijzonder gevoel van actiebereidheid en samenhorigheid. Vandaar deze oproep om tegen 26 september minstens evenveel bundanooners op Facebook te verenigen. Informeer uw vrienden en contacten over het bestaan van Bundanoon en onze Facebookgroep. Nodig hen uit om lid te worden van de groep. Gebruik daartoe de tool die in de groep zelf wordt voorzien.

Of bezorg hen de link http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=111563356635&ref=ts en maak op die manier de inwoners van Bundanoon duidelijk dat u hun beslissing ondersteunt, bewondert en wil navolging wil geven.

It will be celebrated with a ceremony and a carnival in the streets of Bundanoon. We are so very curious about the role of the press and media… how will they handle an event like this?

Commercializing drinking water, infringement of human right by imposing a price on drinking water, the many tons of plastic by products and residual waste, the extra logistics and it’s toll on the environment… Bundanoon has ensured everything in order in an understandable and concrete fashion, and has opted for an alternative approach!

This facebookgroup is made for the support of the Bundanooners, down under, to share information, give rumor to their project, to start discussions and look for ways to follow their example.

We can see out of all the mails we receive and the reactions on the discussion board that there is a lot of interest and a will for action! A lot of people tell us that they go ‘on tap’ at home as well, others try to also take action in their companies and schools…

Today our Facebook group counts more than 1.750 members. We are all different people, divers and also internationally tainted. Bundanoon, Australia, counts about 2500 citizens, who bear an unbreakable sense of solidarity and endless thirst for action!

For that reason, we try to reach as many “I bundanoon” members in this group as there are citizens in Bundanoon, before the 26th of September!
